Wallet Transfers 20.43 BTC After 15.4 Years of Silence, Worth $1.7 Million
A wallet that has been inactive since May 2011 has transferred 20.43 BTC, valued at $1.7 million, ending a 15.4-year silence. The BTC originated from earnings distributed by Braiins (Slush Pool) at around $3 to $4. The BTC obtained on May 1 and May 8, 2011, has been split and transferred to a SegWit address, with transaction fees of less than $1, and has not yet been sent to any known exchange deposit addresses. Earlier transfers from the same wallet are associated with Mt. Gox and Silk Road. The Mt. Gox trustee currently holds approximately 34,500 BTC, with a creditor claim deadline of October 31, 2026.
