Odaily News: A deputada dos EUA Anna Paulina Luna apresentou acusações criminais ao Departamento de Justiça, alegando que o presidente do Federal Reserve, Powell, cometeu perjúrio duas vezes. Luna escreveu na carta: Em 25 de junho de 2025, Powell testemunhou sob juramento perante o Comitê de Bancos, Habitação e Assuntos Urbanos do Senado dos EUA sobre a reforma do Edifício Eccles do Federal Reserve. Em seu depoimento, ele fez várias declarações falsas importantes. Luna também afirmou: Além disso, em uma carta a Russell Vought, Diretor do Escritório de Gestão e Orçamento (OMB), Powell declarou que a mudança de US$ 1,9 bilhão para US$ 2,5 bilhões no custo do projeto era insignificante. No entanto, documentos analisados por investigadores do Congresso mostram que o escopo e os estouros de custos deste projeto não são triviais em natureza e substância.
