Creators of Ethereum and Bitcoin wallets use OSS Scanner

Open source project creators are submitting applications to the OSS Scanner program launched by Anthropic, which aims to provide reports on code vulnerabilities. Among the first submissions are developers from Nethermind and the ZEUS wallet team. The scanning program was created as a continuation of Project Glasswing, automating the audit process and eliminating bottlenecks associated with manual verification. Nethermind has applied for an audit of the entire repository, while ZEUS has requested an analysis of payment handling and private key management. The VirtEngine project and creators of AI tools and machine learning infrastructure are also participating in the program. The rise of AI attacks in the cryptocurrency industry, as seen with Boltz, underscores the need for autonomous scanners. Qualification for OSS Scanner is based on an assessment of the project's significance for security and exposure to attacks. Experts warn that unequal access to AI models may favor attackers. Vitalik Buterin suggested introducing a bunker mode for cryptocurrency infrastructure to secure the digital economy.
