Firma New Fire Technology (1611.HK) ogłosiła, że przejmie zespół inwestycyjny oraz system transakcyjny należące do family office Li Lin – Avenir Group – za kwotę 1,6 mln dolarów.
Po sfinalizowaniu przejęcia firma New Fire Technology planuje uruchomić usługę zarządzania aktywami denominowaną w bitcoinach pod nazwą Alpha BTC, której celem jest pozyskanie w ciągu roku inwestycji o wartości ponad 10 000 bitcoinów, szacowanej na około 760 milionów dolarów. Strategia ta będzie generować zyski poprzez obrót instrumentami pochodnymi, takimi jak opcje, których aktywami bazowymi są Bitcoin lub fundusz ETF IBIT, kierując swoją ofertę do klientów, w tym inwestorów z branży kryptowalutowej oraz lokalnych przedsiębiorstw w Hongkongu. Na koniec 2025 roku grupa Avenir posiadała 18,3 mln akcji funduszu BlackRock iShares Bitcoin Trust o wartości 908 mln dolarów.
